Bugs? Not today. Our Bug Balm is packed with over a dozen powerhouse botanicals that repel insects the way nature intended—no weird chemicals, just plants that actually work. We researched over 40 traditional bug-repelling ingredients and ditched the ones that smelled nice but did nothing. The winners? Heavy hitters like cedar, mugwort, and blue tansy—ones we already swear by in our formulas.
Lemon eucalyptus and citronella have been keeping bugs at bay since 1948, working like DEET by masking what attracts them to you. Apply liberally to skin and hair when the biting starts. Made with 100% wild-foraged aromatics, locally sourced beeswax, organic coconut and apricot kernel oils, live plant infusions, tree resin, and steam-distilled essential oils.
About the Maker
Barnaby Black creates wildcrafted home and skincare goods, distilling the raw beauty of nature into every bottle. Each fragrance begins with hands-on foraging across North America’s forests, deserts, and coastlines, where botanicals are sustainably harvested and carefully extracted. Committed to honoring the land, their process is rooted in respect, adventure, and a deep connection to the wilderness—ensuring every product tells the story of the place it comes from.

Our founder's story
More Than Just Beautiful Things
At Hello Norden, we’re not here to sell trends. We’re here to help you create spaces that feel like you. Spaces that calm your body, support your nervous system, and tell a story you recognize as your own.
Every piece we offer—vintage, made-to-order, or newly crafted—is chosen for how it feels, not just how it looks.
Founder Kassina Folstad spent 22 years designing spaces and studying how environments impact the body. That led to the creation of the RUTED Method—a science-backed, story-rich approach to design that’s changing the way we think about home.
