Style Guide | Rivado Modern Mountain Living Room & Kitchen
Three or four tones per room. That's it. Vary texture, not color.
In Rivado the art piece above the mantle does the work. It carries the blacks and the browns, and I mirror them into the rest of the room — brown into the sectional, the wood ceiling, walls, and floor; black into the Linder Lounge Chair in our Run Wyld Ruins Leather, the coffee table, the antique water pot lamp, and the curtains. Same logic runs into the kitchen.
Here's the rule most people skip: never jump from white to black. Always bridge with creams. The linen lampshade and the throw pillows do that work here. Now the eye never has to recalibrate.
Texture is where the layering happens — linen, nubby boucle, chunky throws, antique wool rugs, leather, sheepskin, the ribbed grain along the side of the coffee table. Three tones. Eight textures. Done.
The Maxim Sectional w/ Chaise and Linder Lounge Chair are made-to-order — heirloom quality, built in the US in 6-9 weeks, 40+ fabrics plus COM for trade. Trade members and our design clients gain access to 400+ more models.
From our in-stock case goods: the Villum Coffee Table and the Alvilda Sideboard. Quality furniture, same tonal family, different grain and weave. One-of-one: a shallow vintage wood bowl, antique water pots in medium and large, the antique water pot lamp, and an antique olive vase.
Modern mountain custom furniture done by the rule: three tones, every texture you can layer in.
