Style Guide | Forest Glen Modern Mountain Living Room & Kitchen

Open floor plans almost always split in half. The living room runs warm, the kitchen runs cool, and the eye reads two rooms instead of one. Forest Glen fixes that.

Both sides run the same tonal range — black, brown, earth tones across the upholstery, the wood, the cabinetry, the green marble. The architecture sets it: exposed metal beams, a distressed metal fireplace, dark cabinetry. Texture and grain do the variation, not color.

The seating layout matters as much as the palette. My non-negotiable: a sectional with a chaise plus two chairs across from it. Three seating modes in one layout — someone stretches out with feet up, the chaise doubles as an ottoman for a second person, the chairs give anyone their own moment. Stop putting just a sectional in a room and calling it done.

The Maxim Sectional w/ Chaise and Letty Lounge Chairs are made-to-order — heirloom quality, built in the US in 6-9 weeks, 40+ fabrics plus COM for trade. Trade members and our design clients gain access to 400+ more models.

From our in-stock case goods: the Ronette Coffee Table, Alvilda Sideboard, and Neri + Gisli side tables. Quality furniture, same tonal family, different grain and weave. One-of-one: the vintage marble bowl, antique water pots in medium and large, and the antique olive pot.

Modern mountain custom furniture done one way: one tonal range across both rooms, layered texture for soul, the architecture left alone to do what it's already doing.
