About the Maker

Based in Michigan, June & December was founded by husband-and-wife duo Katie and Nick, who named their brand after the birth months of their children—symbolizing their love for family and nature. Katie’s childhood spent barefoot in the dirt, collecting snails and butterflies, now inspires her intricate hand-drawn designs, which are thoughtfully crafted into sustainable gifts. Committed to giving back, June & December is a proud 1% for the Planet member, donating at least 1% of revenue to environmental causes. They also support organizations like the National Forest Foundation, Pollinator Partnership, and The Nature Conservancy, working to protect and preserve the natural world that fuels their creativity.

Our founder's story

More Than Just Beautiful Things

At Hello Norden, we’re not here to sell trends. We’re here to help you create spaces that feel like you. Spaces that calm your body, support your nervous system, and tell a story you recognize as your own.

Every piece we offer—vintage, made-to-order, or newly crafted—is chosen for how it feels, not just how it looks.

Founder Kassina Folstad spent 22 years designing spaces and studying how environments impact the body. That led to the creation of the RUTED Method—a science-backed, story-rich approach to design that’s changing the way we think about home.
