Our Malou bowls are carved from a single piece of wood and shaped for everyday use, originally used for collecting and storing milk in Nigeria. The deep, rounded form is practical by design, with visible carving marks and occasional side handles that show how each bowl was worked and carried. Most pieces hold a dark brown patina developed through years of use and no two are exactly alike in size, shape or detail. Use it as a tabletop vessel, an object on open shelving or as a standalone piece that adds material history without turning the room into a display.

Our founder's story
More Than Just Beautiful Things
At Hello Norden, we’re not here to sell trends. We’re here to help you create spaces that feel like you. Spaces that calm your body, support your nervous system, and tell a story you recognize as your own.
Every piece we offer—vintage, made-to-order, or newly crafted—is chosen for how it feels, not just how it looks.
Founder Kassina Folstad spent 22 years designing spaces and studying how environments impact the body. That led to the creation of the RUTED Method—a science-backed, story-rich approach to design that’s changing the way we think about home.
